How do sleep and screen time affect childrens learning and development?
What promotes academic achievement? What improves emotional wellbeing?
What the project involves:
It’s hard for parents to know what their children do with their time.
We don’t remember what our kids did all day yesterday. Our kids don’t remember either.
In this groundbreaking study we use secure, encrypted wearable cameras to measure what children are doing, and a research-grade FitBit-like device to measure sleep and physical activity.
With best-in-class privacy controls, the study involves:
Measuring what children see
Children wearing an encrypted wearable camera for four days outside of school time
Measuring what children do
Children wearing a waterproof, FitBit-like device to measure sleep and physical activity
Measuring how children are doing
Children, parents and teachers each complete a short questionnaire
Participating is easy

You pick a date and time for us to come to your school to distribute the equipment to the students and take them through a questionnaire. A short questionnaire will also be sent to the teacher of participating students.
We come back a week later to collect the equipment.
